Accessibility Statement
Last updated 31 August 2026.
A waitlist is something a customer uses once, often on a borrowed phone or a screen reader, standing up, in a hurry. It has to work for them the first time, without help. This is how we try to make sure it does.
The standard we build to
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the product — the pages a customer joins a line from, and the console a business runs it from. That is a target we hold ourselves to on every change, not a one-time audit we point back to.
What that looks like in practice
Every action reachable with a mouse is reachable from the keyboard alone, in an order that makes sense. Whatever has focus is visibly outlined, never hidden for the sake of a cleaner look. Buttons, form fields and icons carry real labels for a screen reader, not just a colour or a shape. Every colour in the product, including our own amber, comes from a set of tokens chosen to hold a readable contrast against its background in both light and dark — amber is used to fill a shape, never to colour text on it, because white text on amber does not read clearly enough to rely on.
A review gate, not a phase
Accessibility is something we check before a change ships, not something scheduled for afterwards. New screens are reviewed for a working keyboard path, visible focus and correct labels before they go out, the same way we review for anything else that would make a change wrong to ship.
Where we fall short
We do not claim every corner of the product already meets this standard — we are not aware of a barrier left unfixed once it is reported, but we would rather say that plainly than claim a perfection we have not verified everywhere.
Tell us about a barrier
If something in WaitNook does not work with the keyboard, a screen reader, or magnification, or is otherwise hard to use, tell us what page it was on and what happened. We treat an accessibility report the way we treat a bug — write to the address below.
Changes
If how we meet this standard changes in a way that matters, the date at the top of this page changes too.
